Refund Policy

At Café Govantes , owned by Pangea Holdings , we strive to offer the highest quality products. Each batch of coffee is carefully selected, roasted, and packaged to ensure exceptional freshness and flavor.
However, we understand that special situations may arise, and that's why we've established this clear and transparent policy.
1. General conditions

Because these are food products, we do not accept returns or refunds once the packaging has been opened, unless the product presents quality defects attributable to Café Govantes.

All requests must be submitted within 8 calendar days of receiving the product.

The product must be returned unopened, in its original packaging, with seals intact, and in optimal condition for evaluation.
2. Procedure to request an exchange or refund
1. Send an email to info@govantes.cr indicating:
• Order number.
• Full name and contact information.
• Reason for the request.
• Photographs of the product and packaging.
2. Our team will review the request within a maximum of 3 business days.
3. If the request is approved, we will coordinate the collection or delivery of the new product, or the corresponding refund.
3. Cases in which an exchange or refund applies
• Product received in poor condition (for example, broken or contaminated packaging).
• Order error (wrong product or incorrect quantity).
• Quality problems duly verified.
4. Cases in which an exchange or refund does NOT apply
• Product opened or partially or totally consumed.
• Damage caused by improper handling by the customer.
• Dissatisfaction with sensory characteristics (flavor, aroma, or texture) if the product meets our quality specifications.
• Delays attributable to the transport company or force majeure.
What to Include in the Refund Policy
Generally speaking, a Refund Policy often addresses these types of issues: the timeframe for asking for a refund; will the refund be full or partial; under which conditions will the customer receive a refund; and much, much more.
What to Include in the Refund Policy
• If the error or defect is attributable to Café Govantes, we will cover the shipping or collection costs.
• In other cases, the customer will assume the transportation costs.
